UNITY THEATRE ENSEMBLE
MOURNS THE LOSS OF
PRODUCING/ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, RALPH E. GREENE
Unity Theatre Ensemble mourns the loss of its founder and producing/artistic director, Ralph E. Greene who transitioned from this earth at 1:33 p.m. on May 15, 2020.
Words can not adequately express the impact of this great loss to all who knew him.
Because of the COVID-19 virus requirement for social distancing and restrictions on public gatherings, no formal memorial could be safely held at this time. However, veteran performing artists who worked with Mr. Greene hosted a Zoom Memorial Tribute on June 27, 2020 from 3:30 pm. to 6:30 p.m. in his honor. It was a wonderful reunion and tribute. Although, the event was well attended, only a select number had the opportunity to speak and testify to the unique qualities of Greene’s character and the impact that he had and continues to have on their lives and the unforgettable nurturing experience that helped to develop their talents.
Our next projected tribute to Mr. Greene will occur May 2021 featuring a memorial legacy performance and documentary to honor his life, his legacy and his work.
Also, 2021 is the 50th year anniversary for Kutana Players/Unity Theatre Ensemble. We will be planning a reunion event for November 2021.
Until we can all celebrate and work together again safely…Thanks to all of you for your support to him and to me, your expressions of condolence, words of encouragement, testimonies and your commitment to help continue his legacy.
Much love and harmony to all.
